Leading up to International Women's Day, we spoke to key women in the meeting and event industry about their roles.
As an independent hotel company, we offer unique attributes not available at corporate hotel chains and that collectively define the Rosen Difference. Qualities such as our unwavering flexibility in responding to customers’ requests and needs and our freedom to develop the most creative and engaging Orlando events and tailored offers provide planners real value. Our current marketing campaign elevates awareness of the Rosen Difference and has further solidified our associates’ sense of pride, while assisting planners in quickly understanding the advantages of booking a Rosen hotel.
What advice would you give someone entering the industry?
Always maintain integrity and open communication channels between your customer and your product.
What has been the most rewarding aspect of your career?
Sharing more than 40 years of nuggets of knowledge for the growth of others.
What are you most proud of?
Raising the recognition level and the bar of an independent hotel company, successfully taking the company into the unchartered corporate meeting environment.
Describe a game-changing idea that you have implemented.
We are proud to be the first hotel group utilizing Amazon’s Alexa technology as a planning tool in the meeting industry, as we continue to provide innovative resources for our group partners. Our recently launched “Ask Rosen” campaign utilizes voice interface technology on any Alexa-enabled device to provide easily accessible information about our hotels. Planners can ask most anything and receive immediate responses ranging from ballroom dimensions to unique tidbits about our history from our owner Harris Rosen. This will be a game changer in more deeply entrenching planners in our Rosen Hotels & Resorts’ culture!
