Caesars Entertainment is on a wellness mission

Caesars Entertainment is on a wellness mission

By Janice Cardinale

Caesars Means Wellness is a new commitment by Caesars Entertainment to prioritize mental health and wellness for their group clients, as well as the employees who work with them. They’ve invested in a people-first culture that is responding to a longtime concern for mental health and wellbeing in an industry that is consumed by stress, anxiety and depression.

These initiatives are not only impressive, but show that as an organization, Caesars Entertainment has set the bar for bringing humanity back to the hotel ecosystem thanks to the dedicated work of Reina Herschdorfer, director of marketing, national meetings and events—who oversees and implements the changes and transformation of a company wide objective that supports a caring culture. I am crowning her the “Caesaress” because she has heart, empathy, kindness and the respect that most wait a lifetime to achieve.

I can honestly say that Caesars is way ahead of any of their competitors, and they are doing this as leaders for the greater good of the industry and demonstrating what can be achieved when you focus on sustainability, wellness and humanity.

I was invited to participate in a day of wellness with Caesars Entertainment shortly before IMEX America 2023 got under way in Las Vegas, and I had no idea what to expect. I arrived on Saturday and was sent an agenda for Sunday, Oct. 15, packed with wellness activities, healthy treats, massages and dinner at the Eiffel Tower restaurant located at Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino—a Caesars Entertainment property.

Caesars Entertainment’s Wellness Menu caters to the mind, body and soul.

I met several media partners that Sunday morning at 8 a.m., and we were welcomed with an abundance of healthy treats. Our next stop was a place I had never heard of: the Valley of Fire. I was moved by the beauty of the red rock canyons, mountains and sheer silence this area is famous for. Reina even brought her wellness instructor of two years to take us through a Tai chi exercise. Standing on a rock and trying to balance is challenging, but Dami Kim—an energy expert and regional director of Body & Brain Yoga and Health Centers—is experienced and challenged all of us while being forgiving if we could not achieve the action she was directing.

Next, we were whisked off to Caesars Palace to indulge in various crudities and appetizers fit for a king and queen. But when we were introduced to the spa and massages, that put my mind in another hemisphere. What an unexpected surprise. We left there and got ready for a night at the Eiffel Tower restaurant, where we indulged and tried various specialties and beverages in line with the Parisian experience. Magnifique.

All of this made a notable impression on me, and I began to understand why this organization had built an incredible following of celebrities, media, clients, travelers and employees of varied generations.

Caesars Entertainment is an anomaly, and their mindset aligns with what the next generation is searching for in terms of careers, culture, wellness and belonging.

The goal for Caesars Entertainment during IMEX America was to introduce the media to their custom Wellness Menu, a new offering for groups. This menu is full of healthy options and thoughtful ideas: vegan, dairy free, nut free, gluten free and every other allergy under the Las Vegas sun. It caters to the mind, body and soul.

Wellness isn’t just about fitness. Wellness is the “act of practicing healthy habits to attain better physical and mental health outcomes.” If you are a client or thinking about growing your business with Caesars Entertainment, they want to make you look like a superstar by supporting you and your attendees during the process and incorporating wellness into the program. While the offerings within their brand-new Wellness Menu are too many to mention here’s one example that will whet your appetite.

But this menu does not only provide nutritious offerings. They have pet therapy, paint therapy, goat yoga and speakers who are expert in mental health and wellness—including me and Dami Kim.

This wellness effort is a well-thought-out mission driven by clients who continually visit Caesars Entertainment properties because of the service level and attention to detail that they offer.
