Dear MPI Community:
April is Global Volunteer Month, which provides us a great platform to celebrate volunteer service and the generous spirit of those who give their time selflessly—whether to MPI or other worthy causes.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of MPI, and the foundation of our success as an association. Serving at nearly every level of our association, volunteers choose to give back to the industry by investing their time and talent within our community. Whether volunteering for the joy of giving back, to forge new connections or to grow professionally, their dedication is the cornerstone of MPI.
So, as we celebrate volunteers throughout April, we would like to say a huge thank you to each and every one of you who volunteer for MPI. Behind each MPI initiative, you drive our progress and help to anchor MPI in its mission. From our global boards to international councils, volunteer driven committees and the front-line of MPI—our chapter leaders—your contributions create the vibrant tapestry of our community. You are the heart and soul of our association.
As we celebrate Global Volunteer Month, we encourage you to share your volunteer stories with our community. Post on social media using #NVW & #MPIThanksYou, and we will amplify the good work done by you and your colleagues. I am continually inspired by the dedication and passion of our MPI volunteers, and I am confident that their stories will inspire you as well.
As the great Muhammad Ali once said, “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth!” In the spirit of service, let’s continue to support, inspire and uplift one another.
