Pendry Chicago is set to open in spring 2021 following a renovation and refurbishment of the Carbide & Carbon Building, an Art Deco Chicago landmark located in Chicago’s Loop neighborhood. The hotel will offer 364 guest rooms and suites, a rooftop lounge and 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Steigenberger Airport Hotel, Berlin

The Steigenberger Airport Hotel has debuted at the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport, which is now open after nearly a decade of delays. The hotel, adjacent to the main terminal, features 322 sound-proofed guest rooms, an à la carte restaurant with adjoining bar, a spa facility and a conference centre with 11 meeting rooms capable of accommodating up to 500 people.

IHG has broken ground for a new avid hotel in the Toronto suburb Vaughan that will offer 119 guest rooms across six floors when it opens by spring 2022. Located in a high-traffic, high-visibility area, the hotel is just minutes from Toronto Pearson International Airport and convenient to many area shopping centers and restaurants.

Shangri-La Centre, Wuhan, the second phase of the Shangri-La Group’s Wuhan Development project, celebrated its soft opening on Nov. 1 as the city continues its business recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic. The property is connected to the Shangri-La Hotel, Wuhan, serviced apartments and meeting facilities. The site is also equipped with spa and fitness facilities, as well as a flexible outdoor event space.

Set to open its doors in the first quarter of 2021, Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh will mark the first Hyatt hotel in the Cambodian capital. The property will offer 247 guest rooms, including 43 suites, as well as 15,000 square feet of meeting space in the heart of Phnom Penh’s cultural and business district of Doun Penh and within walking distance to the Royal Palace and National Museum.

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, Fla., will debut a new luxury hotel, Hotel Effie Sandestin, on Feb. 1, 2021. The 250-room hotel will offer an upscale spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center, the only rooftop pool on Florida’s Emerald Coast and 20,000 square feet of meeting space (including a 13,000-square-foot ballroom).

The Radisson Hotel & Conference Center Green Bay (Wis.) has completed a $23 million renovation that included updates to the lobby, corridors, guest rooms and suites, conference rooms and the exterior. The hotel offers 391 guest rooms and suites and 30,000 square feet of event space.

The 175-room Hilton Mall of Istanbul has opened within the same compound as the Mall of Istanbul, Turkey’s largest shopping and entertainment center, with a ballroom and 13 hi-tech meeting rooms with natural daylight.
