Get a sneak peek at the results of the 2023 Q4 edition of MPI’s Meetings Outlook report during an MPI in-booth session (booth F431) at IMEX America on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
Led by Tim Luepke from the MPI Academy and Mike Dominguez from ALHI—sponsor of this quarter’s Meetings Outlook—you’ll hear about the following data and much more!
- The percentage of respondents expecting favorable business conditions over the next year (70%), while still very high, is the lowest we’ve seen since the landscape first turned around during the pandemic.
- In-person attendance projections reveal similar expectations with 70% indicating favorable attendance trends for the next 12 months. While very high, that, too, is the biggest decline in “favorable” answers since the industry really started to turn around during the pandemic. Virtual attendance projections, however, continue to remain stable.
- Difficulty in filling job vacancies has now floated at 52%-53% for three quarters in a row, but down from the highs seen in 2022. This suggests some solutions to the problem have worked through but other causes have yet to be cracked.
Those are just a few of the regularly checked data points in each edition of Meetings Outlook, but there’s much more interesting data to be revealed!
