MPI’s Publications and Creative teams have been recognized with four national awards and six regional awards in two national competitions for work published in The Meeting Professional and the World Education Congress convention newsletter in 2017.

In the Excel Awards, sponsored by Association Media & Publishing, the teams received the following national awards. Excel is the largest and most prestigious awards program that exclusively recognizes excellence and leadership in nonprofit and association media and publications.

• Gold Award, WEC OnSite convention daily: Rich Luna, director of publications; Blair Potter, managing editor; Michael Pinchera, senior editor; Rowland Stiteler, editor; Jeff Loy, digital editor; Holly Smith, senior graphic designer.

• Bronze Award, Advertisement Single Piece (Event/Convention): Jeff Daigle, creative director.

The following AZBEE Awards, sponsored by the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE), were presented to the teams. These awards recognize the best in writing and design in business-to-business, trade, association and professional publications including magazines, newspapers, newsletters, websites and digital media. ASBPE represents more than 1,000 journalists for B2B publications.
