Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta

The Georgia World Congress Center Authority in Atlanta has announced the completion of its Exhibit Hall BC project, a 100,000-square-foot expansion creating more than 1 million square feet of contiguous exhibition space. The expansion brings the Georgia World Congress Center’s total exhibit hall space to more than 1.4 million square feet.

Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel, Maui  

The 432-room Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel on Maui has announced the “Kealaula” project, an effort to enhance the establishment of Hawaiian culture throughout the property. Launching in spring 2020, the beginning of the property renaissance is projected at $65 million and will unveil transformative enhancements including a significant redesign to the 180-room Kauaʻi Wing, a refresh of the courtyard including the introduction of additional native Hawaiian plants, the launch of a new oceanfront restaurant and an additional floor of parking.

Marriott Hotels, Lexington, Ky.

Marriott International has announced the opening of a dual-branded Marriott Hotels and Residence Inn by Marriott property in downtown Lexington, Ky. The property offers a combined 337 guest rooms and shares some amenities, including 11,171 square feet of meeting space and Infinity—a rooftop restaurant and bar.

More New & Renovated

The new Ramada by Wyndham Madrid Getafe, located 25 minutes from Madrid’s city center and an international airport, features 96 guest rooms, a lobby bar and restaurant and three meeting rooms accommodating up to 110 conference guests.

Silverwest Hotels has announced that a new, upscale hotel will open in downtown Clayton, Mo., just outside of St. Louis, in summer 2020. The 268-room Le Meridien St. Louis Clayton will debut after a multimillion-dollar, full-scale transformation (Silverwest Hotels acquired the property more than 18 months ago) with a new rooftop pool, a fitness center with panoramic views of downtown St. Louis and 17,000 square feet of event space.

The new Four Points by Sheraton Peoria (Ill.) offers 323 guest rooms and 20,687 square feet of meeting space. Restaurant Craft309’s Best Brews program features more than 30 locally curated draft beer selections. The hotel is a short drive from the Peoria Civic Center, Caterpillar Visitors Center and Peoria Riverfront Museum, as well as roughly six miles from General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport.

The new, 130-room Hilton Garden Inn Neuquén, Argentina, offers five meeting rooms with more than 4,300 square feet of event space less than six miles from Juan Domingo Perón International Airport.
