What makes volunteering with MPI special is the sense of community that it provides. After serving at the chapter level for many years and two terms as president during COVID, I felt there was more I could offer to this amazing community that had been so helpful to me. I wanted to expand my knowledge, grow my connections and give back so joining a global committee was the perfect next step.

Volunteering on the Chapter Members Advisory Council has allowed me to see the community from another perspective and on a larger scale.  I have learned so much from hearing the diverse perspectives of Chapter leaders and members from all over the world. The common thread is found in the passion that each member has for this community. That level of passion and commitment to our industry and to each other is what inspires me to continue to serve.

The volunteer opportunities that MPI provides have allowed me to gain valuable leadership skills, expand my network, and be able to learn from and support our members and Chapter Leaders. The ROI from volunteering is immeasurable. I always say that MPI has given me so much more than I will ever be able to give back in return.

MPI is my career home and the lifelong relationships I have built are priceless. I hope that my personal volunteer story inspires others to get involved with MPI and experience all that it has to offer!
