"Volunteering gives me the opportunity to impact people’s lives beyond my own destination. Pushing for meaningful change to make our global events community safer is important to me and collaborating with this committee has taught me that our industry has a powerful role to play in protecting and empowering others."
- Lori Lopez, Ottawa Chapter Member and Volunteer of the Anti-Human Trafficking Committee.

"I’m grateful to have received scholarships from the MPI Foundation in the past, which have supported my growth as an event professional. Through my volunteering efforts, I can pay it forward by helping to raise funds, promote the Foundation, and create opportunities for the next generation of leaders in our industry."
- Stephanie Rapko, CEM, CMP, President-Elect, MPI Toronto Chapter; Volunteer of Regional Council Canada, MPI Foundation Canada Council, Community Advisory Board and Chair of MPI Exhibitor Community.

Our volunteer opportunities range from high-level strategic planning to campaigning and fundraising for MPI Foundation.

Councils, committees, and task forces are annually authorized by the chair of the International Board of Directors and MPI's president and CEO to provide critical industry insights and fulfill key governance roles for MPI Global.

The Advisory Boards have been commissioned by MPI Staff with their objectives to reflect the needs identified by specific business units.

The board of directors, comprising distinguished leaders from across the meetings, entertainment, and event industries, provides strategic oversight and guidance in shaping MPI’s organizational planning and directives.

Members can begin their volunteer work in their local chapter or region. By working collaboratively on your local chapter’s activities, you will create life-long relationships with peers who have a common interest in the meetings and events industry. To learn more about your local chapter’s volunteer opportunities, find your chapter on the MPI chapter directory.
