Since 2000, MPI Denmark’s most popular event has been the Christmas Bingo networking event right before the holidays. This year it was hosted on one of DFDS ferries, while docked in the harbour in Copenhagen. On her first visit, VP Education & President Elect, Majbritt Sandberg quickly noticed the many games and activities the ship offered and decided to ask the hosts to join forces in creating a fundraiser for the MPI Foundation.
“The Christmas Bingo always creates a generous atmosphere amongst our members, who donate hotel stays, spa days, dinners and much more – which is often taken home by competitors and colleagues. What better opportunity, than to use this event to launch a fundraiser for the MPI Foundation, who generously support our members and chapter leaders”, said Majbritt. “The members were able to buy tickets for the ‘horse race’ for $4 per ticket and we are proud that we sold 124 tickets.”
Those who had a ticket for the winning horse all were awarded the new custom-made Christmas Bingo Beer sponsored by Crafted By. Afterwards, the main prizes were drawn by President Anne Dalgaard. First prize was a cooking class by Simply Cooking for 10 people. Second prize was a free registration for EMEC19 in The Hauge in February sponsored by the Dutch Chapter, who heard about the event on the day on social media and offered to share it as the event was taking place.
