George Aguel, a past MPI chairman and proponent of multicultural initiatives reflects on being recognized this year as one of MPI's "50 Legacy Contributors."
As I look back on my years in this industry, I can proudly take note of how much my engagement in MPI, from the early start of my career, has provided so much good fortune and great relationships that fostered my professional growth.
From co-founding the Nashville Chapter in 1980 to serving on the International Board of Directors and then as chairman, I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to contribute to many key moments in MPI’s history, including the development of the first industry Multi-Cultural Initiative. And the leadership recognitions I enjoyed, including the CLC Hall of Leaders in 2004, reflect the benefits of dedicating those years of volunteer service to MPI.
