Situated in Douglas Bay on the northwest side of the island, the new Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski Dominica offers 151 guest rooms, cuisine including farm-to-table dining, a spa, six beach cabanas and more than 8,000 square feet of event space—including an outdoor amphitheater.
The Hyatt Regency San Francisco, situated across the street from San Francisco’s The Embarcadero waterfront, has debuted 15 new guest rooms with views overlooking the San Francisco Bay. The hotel includes 821 guest rooms and suites and 72,000 square feet of meeting space.
The Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa in Michigan City, Ind., has expanded its meeting and event facilities, adding the Fremont Ballroom and pre-function space. The 486-room property with a 65,000-square-foot casino now offers 45,000 square feet of meeting space an hour’s drive from Chicago.
The five-story, waterfront Hilton Dallas Rockwall Lakefront has completed a $2.3 million makeover, including a complete renovation of all public areas and guest rooms. The hotel includes 231 guest rooms and 35,000 square feet of function space.
Located in Kyoto, Japan’s Nakagyo Ward, Hotel The Mitsui Kyoto is scheduled to open in summer 2020. The hotel will feature 161 guest rooms and suites, a spa with a natural hot spring, a garden with stone lanterns and decorative rock features and event space.
Delta Hotels by Marriott Toronto Mississauga opened recently with 315 guest rooms and in walking distance from attractions including Square One Shopping Centre, the Living Arts Centre, Celebration Square and Mississauga City Hall.
After a multimillion-dollar transformation, the Halepuna Waikiki by Halekulani has opened with 284 guest rooms and four suites; an Urban Escape featuring an infinity pool, a fitness studio and a garden sanctuary; and a chocolate-viewing kitchen at the Halekulani Bakery & Restaurant.
The Hilton Houston North will undergo a $35 million renovation to include all guest rooms and suites, common areas, and meeting spaces. The renovation, expected to be complete by April 2020, includes the 18,000-square-foot ballroom and 12 salons. The 40,000-square-foot atrium lobby will be completely reimagined. The hotel offers 480 guest rooms, including 190 suites, and 52,000 square feet of function space.
The San Francisco Marriott Marquis recently unveiled an extensive renovation of its 1,500 guest rooms and public spaces. The hotel is centrally located in the SoMa district, steps away from landmarks and attractions including the Yerba Buena Gardens, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Moscone Convention Center and Westfield San Francisco shopping. The hotel features 133,000 square feet of meeting space.
