Galt House Hotel, Louisville
The Galt House Hotel in Louisville has completed the fully re-imagined, 15,412-square-foot Archibald Cochran Ballroom as part of an $80 million property-wide renovation project. The ballroom, with a capacity of up to 1,700 guests and state-of-the-art audiovisual technology, is part of the West Tower meeting and event spaces, which include seven renovated meeting spaces totaling 22,816 square feet. The Galt House Hotel offers 1,310 guest rooms, suites and residences; 53 meeting rooms; and 130,000 square feet of flexible convention space.
Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau, Bahamas
The Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau, Bahamas, will open in June 2020 with 155 ocean-view guest rooms; an aquatic fun-zone and Fins Up! Water Park; a high-tech entertainment center with virtual reality simulators, bowling and a movie theater; upscale shopping; a full-service marina and boardwalk; 11 signature food and beverage concepts; and 40,000 square feet of total meeting and event space.
Aloft Bali Seminyak in Bali
Aloft Hotels, Marriott International’s hotel brand for music enthusiasts and tech-savvy travelers, has opened Aloft Bali Seminyak in Bali. The hotel “embodies the brand’s new tech-forward, future-proofed design philosophy with a lively, industrial-inspired aesthetic intermixed with distinct local touches that complement the free-flowing open spaces.” It offers 80 guest rooms, a rooftop restaurant and two multi-functional meeting spaces that can accommodate up to 66 people.

In 2023, Radisson Hotel Group will debut the 262-room Radisson RED Cologne (Germany) in a central city location near the Cologne Cathedral. The new development will integrate into the “Laurenz Carré,” a modern urban district that also features office and retail spaces. The hotel will include a 3,000-square-foot meeting and event area.
Casa Madrona Hotel & Spa, a historic hotel in Sausalito, Calif., frequented by Silicon Valley executives, has unveiled a $450,000 Planar DirectLight X LED Video Wall System addition to its 1,700-square-foot Junto meeting space—a room that “blends the latest technology with nature” and features floor-to-ceiling windows that open out to a 600-square-foot deck with views of Richardson Bay and harbor. The 11.75-by-6.5-foot media wall offers multi-point videoconferencing capabilities. The hotel features a total of 7,000 square feet of meeting space.
Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants will open a boutique hotel in downtown Fort Worth, Texas, an “adaptive reuse of the historic XTO Energy Headquarters building,” in the spring of 2021. The hotel will offer 232 guest rooms, a signature Italian restaurant, 10,000 square feet of meeting space, a two-story grand ballroom and a Penthouse Sky Bar with expansive city views.
The newly reimagined, 139-room Courtyard by Marriott Charlottesville (Va.) - University Medical Center is “tucked under the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains” and features a refreshed and modernized lobby with media pods, communal tables, plush lounge furniture and upgraded televisions. The hotel offers 1,900 square feet of space in two re-styled meeting rooms, as well as the Blue Ridge Boardroom with high-tech audiovisual capabilities.
